Mon Repos

Royal Palace of Corfu! The green estate of Mon Repos, falls within the archaeological site of Paleopolis, the most significant ancient city of the island.
The palace of Mon Repos was built in 1831 and after the unification of the Ionian Islands with Greece was granted to King George, to become by 1967 the summer palace.
King George he gave the villa and the estate the name by which established: Mon Repos meaning “my rest.” The lush garden surrounding the villa is equally impressive, with more than 2,000 species of plants, from the smallest herbs and flowers to tall trees!
